Kai Abitbol-Pierce

Kai Abitbol-Pierce earned his B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Case Western Reserve University, before starting as a Ph.D. student in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Rice University. His research centers around thin-film device microfabrication and neural decoding, with the broader aim of building a circumferential spinal cord device for bypassing spinal cord injury. When he’s not in the cleanroom, Kai enjoys playing guitar and taking care of his plants.
