Jiyoon Kim, PhD

About

Jiyoon Kim holds a PhD in Bioengineering from Imperial College London, where her research focused on developing closed-loop non-invasive brain stimulation devices with concurrent stimulation artifact-free EEG monitoring. She earned her Master’s and Bachelor’s degrees in Biomedical Engineering from Imperial College London. She was a recipient of the 2018 Kwanjeong Educational Foundation Scholarship and the 2011 Korean Presidential Scholarship. Her expertise lies in the design and development of medical electronics. She is expanding her expertise to include the development of minimally invasive brain-computer interfaces with closed-loop systems for brain and spinal cord stimulation and recording. She is passionate about advancing next-generation brain computer interfaces to improve patient care and enable new possibilities in neurotechnology.
