Anshuman Chhawcharia

Anshuman Chhawcharia is an undergraduate student at Rice University pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Neuroscience. His academic and clinical experiences span neuroscience research, oncology, global health, and patient care. Previously, he conducted medulloblastoma research at the University of Texas Health Science Center at San Antonio, studying molecular pathways involved in tumor development and therapeutic response.

Through clinical experiences across intensive care, neurology, cardiology, rehabilitation, and emergency medicine settings, he developed a strong interest in the intersection of neuroscience, technology, and patient-centered care. His exposure to diverse patient populations and global health initiatives reinforced the importance of translating scientific discoveries into accessible treatments that improve outcomes across different healthcare environments.

These experiences have strengthened his interest in developing innovative neurological therapies while advancing equitable access to healthcare worldwide. He is particularly interested in neuromodulation, neural restoration, and translational neuroscience research that bridges medicine and public health to improve the lives of patients with neurological disorders.
